A rear view of the hushbox. The frame is held by the projector ceiling mount. The opening in the top is cut so as to prevent the frame from actually touching the projector. The black felt is stapled onto the insulating foam interior. A pair of construction brackets are used to hold a mass block in place to counterbalance the heavier acrylic front. 2005.06.04

A perspective view of the finished hushbox. The hushbox was built using 1/4" plywood for the bottom and sides, and 1/2" plywood for the top. Liquid nails and angle braces were used to secure the frame. The front is 1/4" acrylic plastic, held tight against the frame by construction brackets spray-painted black. The interior is lined with 1 1/2" insulation foam. The frame is covered in black felt. 2005.06.04
